JOB14187: Technical Project Manager Portal Programme
JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Project Manager Portal Programme
Position Summary
The Technical Project Manager will lead the delivery of the new Customer Portal—an enterprisecritical digital product replacing the legacy SAP Portal and Qlik-based customer interfaces. The programme underpins the broader digital strategy, including migration of operational and reporting data into Microsoft Fabric, adoption of modern customercentric UX, deep systems integration (SAP ECC6/WM, TMS, telematics, Fabric), security uplift, and APIdriven services. The role ensures the portal is delivered on time, within scope, and to a high standard of technical robustness, security, and customer experience.
The TPM will operate across IT, Operations, Commercial, Data & Analytics, thirdparty delivery partners and senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Leadership & Governance
Endtoend management of the Portal project, ensuring alignment with Company’s 5year landscape strategy and Customer Portal ambitions.
Own delivery roadmap across discovery, design, data readiness, build, integration, UAT, golive and hypercare.
Establish effective governance, RAID management, reporting, and steering updates.
Manage crossfunctional dependencies (e.g., Data Lakehouse, SAP data extraction tooling, TMS integration, telematics APIs).
2. Technical Delivery & Architecture Coordination
Act as the central coordination point between internal technical teams (SAP, Data Platform, Infra, Security), and other external partners delivering portal components and data connectors.
Ensure the new portal meets the architectural direction: modular, decoupled, APIenabled, cloudhosted, and powered by Microsoft Fabric for reporting.
Translate business requirements into detailed technical deliverables—especially around inventory visibility, POD access, delivery tracking, reporting, and user management.
Oversee integrations with SAP ECC6 via OData/API, including stock freeze/unfreeze workflows and highvolume transactional processes.
3. Data & Reporting Enablement
Work with the Data & Analytics team and Fabric implementation partners to ensure normalized, governed datasets are ready for the portal.
Coordinate development and embedding of Power BI dashboards inside the portal where appropriate.
Validate data quality, latency, and performance against customer expectations (incl. realtime telematics via Microlise/TrueTAC).
4. Vendor & Partner Management
Lead the daytoday engagement with developers (UX, mockups, frontend dev) and other delivery partners.
Oversee RFP/contracting cycles linked to portal build, APIs, Fabric pipelines, or SAP extraction tooling (e.g., SAPIO, Simplement).
Ensure alignment to Company’s security requirements, pen test remediation, GDPR/WCAG compliance and group cyber posture.

Strong governance, planning, and execution discipline—able to run structured transformation programmes under time pressure.
Familiarity with secure development, pen testing cycles, remediation and cyber standards.
Key Skills & Experience (Desirable)
Background in logistics, warehousing or transport management systems.
Experience with realtime telematics integrations (e.g., Microlise).
