2nd Line Support Engineer, (stand alone Office IT Manager role) paying upto 45k based in Central London by Farringdon Station responsible for 80 users based in the London office of a Global Consultancy whose head office is in Mainland Europe and present in 14 countries in Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa and leads engagements all over the world.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced IT Support person. As the sole IT person in the London office, you will be responsible for all aspects of IT support for our 80 users. You will also be the first point of contact for our VIP proximity technical support service.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide IT support to all users in the London office via telephone, email, or chat
  • Prioritise, schedule, and escalate issues (when required) to the appropriate team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user workstation hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking hardware products
  • Develop and maintain an inventory of all IT assets
  • Manage IT incidents and requests (hardware and software) as well as the reporting resulting from these requests
  • Coordinate with IT suppliers and service providers when necessary

Qualifications:

  • Degree in a subject related to IT such as Computer Science or Information Technology
  • Native proficiency in English
  • Previous experience in a technical support role
  • Ability to think logically and analytically in a problem-solving environment with good communication skills
  • Self-motivated and with a strong sense of accountability
  • An ability to discuss and communicate complicated technical information in simple terms
  • A genuine love of technology
