Transformation Manager – Hosting Infrastructure.

As Transformation Manager, you will be accountable for the “big picture” oversight for the design and implementation across a number of key suppliers. Using your strong technical knowledge, probably gained from a front line engineering past, you will be responsible for the service design, planning and introduction of infrastructure service capabilities across a number of service areas including Hybrid Cloud Hosting, xAAS, Platform Services Modernisation and Data Centre Services.
Reporting to the Head of Data Centres & Hosting, you will maximise the understanding, utility and value of the various agreements and contracts in the Hosting and Data Centre function, and ensure the consistent implementation and adoption of infrastructure services and the adherence to architectural principles, policies and processes. While this role is not a hands-on engineering or project management position, you will be required you to fully understand the technical needs of the organisation in order to assess, select and present viable solutions ahead of project delivery.
The Required Skills and Experiences
The successful Transformation Manager will be commercially astute, with demonstrable experience working across a broad range of infrastructure and technology including servers and storage, virtualisation, networking, disaster recovery, cloud architectures and operating models. You will have a good understanding of supplier management processes, complex performance management regimes and incentive mechanisms.
The ability to troubleshoot existing or proposed solutions and designs and recognise issues, obstacles and concerns early in the lifecycle is a must, and you will have proven technical experience gained in a complex and varied environment. An excellent communicator, you will have no trouble interacting and influencing stakeholders, building collaborative partnerships and relationships both internally and externally, and reporting to individuals at all levels of seniority.
