Senior IT Technician required by an educational establishment based in Ilford paying up to £26,500. They have exciting plans for the rejuvenation of their internal systems and technologies which this role would have direct involvement and influence on. One of the first projects will be a migration to Office 365, so any experience in this area would be extremely beneficial.
Day to day, the Senior IT Technician will be responsible for all in-house systems, infrastructure, switches, routers, desktops, and peripherals. You will take an active role in the maintenance and upgrades of all hardware and be able to accurately troubleshoot. The Senior IT Technician will have experience of server management (Windows/VMWare), supporting office 365, Exchange, Active Directory and hardware maintenance and upgrades.
Relevant skills and experience:
– Experience in a similar role, preferably, though not essentially, from within the education sector.
– Knowledgeable in the support of Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365
– Experienced in monitoring backups, updates, anti-virus and restoring files.
– Adept in following procedures and displaying confidentiality
Being Education, successful applicants to undergo a full enhanced DBS check. Applicants may be required to work at one additional site occasionally and must hold a full clean driving license.
