Head of IT Reporting into the CIO you will be responsible for 11 people, 4 direct reports, and 7 indirect. The IT Department is divided into 4 separate teams, they are BAU, MI, Application Support, and Business Change. The Company is a global organisation with it’s Head Office in mainland Europe. The role when things get back to normal will be predominantly office-based, which is in West London/Surrey Borders near Chiswick and Twickenham with occasional WFH
You will manage the personnel, and be ultimately responsible for the processes and the technical projects, within the department. You should be passionate about IT and how it is evolving in a commercial environment and will need to be able to demonstrate that from previous experience
Whereas the CIO is responsible for the UK long term strategy and its integration within the global organisation. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the IT Department, personnel, budget, the delivery of short-term strategy ensuring the consistent smooth running of the 4 teams, their projects, and it achieves both its short-term and long term objectives of the UK function.
You should enjoy managing, coaching, and developing members of the team. Willing to learn and acclimatise yourself with the current set up and be willing to question the “status quo” of those systems and processes.
You will drive projects and ensure the department is pro-active in its approach to technology but maintaining business as usual and building a strong relationship between IT and the business.
The Organisation believes wherever possible delivering the best technology solutions (Apps & Hardware via third-party suppliers and you should have experience from a similar environment, such as Application Project Management.
