DevOps Engineer required by a leading, cool and fresh-thinking software development company based within Central London with a work hard, play hard mentality. The DevOps Engineer will be an integral member of a 15 strong team, working with clients world wide to create automation tools for business intelligence, data integration and robotic process automation. This company requires experts in their field with a flair for the creative and a driven mindset. Due to high demand for their bespoke software tool suites, they are now looking to add to their already successful team and market to a wider audience.
The DevOps Engineer will work on a project basis, be dynamic and able to work on multiple projects at one time. They will have the drive to get things done to the best of their ability and able to work in a laid-back, forward thinking environment whilst still working to demanding targets. They will be constantly improving the DevOp’s practices and using their expert knowledge of infrastructure and cloud during each project. They will also encourage a DevOp’s mentality across the company.
This is a customer-focused environment where there is a wealth of opportunities to support clients directly, so this would suit a candidate who is a real people person with a glowing personality.
Essential Skills and Knowledge:
– Experienced with AWS/Azure
– Expert scripting skills (Python, Groovy, Bash/Korn)
– Highly skilled in Linux (Centos/RHEL, Ubuntul)
– Experienced in the installation and maintenance of databases (RDBMS, T-SQL, MySQL/MariaDB, also valuable to be familiar with Postgres, Sybase, MS SQL, Oracle)
– Skilled in infrastructure organisation and management in visualisation and containerisation (K8s, Open Stack, Azure Stack, VMWare, KVM, Docker)
– Experienced in using tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Vagrant, Packer and Nexus
– Skilled in using management tools for the web such as ElasticSearch, Kibana, Grafana, Matomo, Telegraf)
– Familiar with using Git as a source control system
The role is within a company where they value staff members with curious minds and a passion for technology inside and outside of the work place. Due to the broad range of clients the company work with, world wide travel may be required if clients need face to face assistance.
