Development Manager offering up to £80,000, required by a software solutions company based in Basildon. The organisation offers software solutions within multiple areas including Facilities Management, Real Estate, Small Team Solutions and Cloud Platforms. The Development Manager will be leading a team of 28 staff including Software Developers, Testers, QA Analysts and Release Management teams ensuring that the organisation delivers top-quality software solutions to clients within budget and timescale. The Development Manager will have previous hands-on experience in the world of development, including extensive knowledge of C#, Python, Azure, and the full Microsoft stack.
Day to day, the Development Manager will attend scrum meetings with the Scrum Master ensuring that all projects are being delivered to standard and creating solutions in areas of need. They will monitor and manage the performance of all individuals and product teams. This will involve conducting objective-setting meetings every six weeks and providing reports on projects, teams and OKR progress within an ISO environment. They will take part in knowledge groups to fully understand the requirements of a project before it begins and keep documents and files up to date and maintained.
This position would suit a Development Manager with a strong background in leading teams, managing large scale software products and has a hands-on understanding of the full software development lifecycle. They will also have a passion for change implementation and innovative thinking.
Relevant skills and experience:
– Experienced at working within an Agile environment.
– Adept in SaaS deployment models and preferably a background in web development within the Microsoft stack and developing within mobile applications with extensive knowledge of C# and Python.
– Exceptional communication skills and previous proven experience dealing with internal and external stakeholders, as well as client management experience, with a knack for explaining the technology in a way that is accessible to all.– Experience working within the Facilities Management sector would be beneficial, as well as any experience with Docker or Kubernetes deployment
