Cloud Infrastructure Architect required by a leading consultancy firm based in Central London with over 150 offices and 5000 staff globally who offer a unique combination of Environmental Health, Safety and Sustainability with innovative digital solutions.
The Cloud Infrastructure Architect will own the design of businesses cloud architecture solutions including new solutions and the migration of existing on-prem solutions to the cloud. The successful Cloud Infrastructure Architect will play an essential role for various projects to develop end-to-end solution architectures to agreed standards, ensuring compliance with higher level architectures, constraints, software, data and business architectures as needed.
You will become the core link between the technical and business teams, expertly defining, validating and delivering solutions which align to the technical vision. You will be working on various projects and be responsible for the technical design authority and have oversight of cloud related projects throughout the delivery life cycle, including handover to operations. In addition, the Cloud Infrastructure Architect will work with internal operations teams and support partners to ensure the stable operation of the Cloud infrastructure platforms and services including planning, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising the Cloud Services.
The successful Cloud Infrastructure Architect candidate will have strong experience of implementing and running IaaS and PaaS and SaaS solutions with public cloud providers (specifically MS Azure), working with large scale, complex projects delivering IT/Telco customer solutions. They will have demonstrable leadership skills, and an indepth knowledge of both physical and virtual technologies and a good understanding of end to end application environments. Knowledge of MS Azure specific solutions such as Cloud backup, monitoring, networking, Windows Virtual Desktop and automation technologies, and architectural and development principles (Test, DevOps, Security, Service Management).
