Infrastructure Specialist, 3rd Line Support required by a leading construction firm based near Essex/London borders paying up to 57K + Bens.
IT Department of 10 (ICT Administrator (1), ICT Desktop Support team (4), ICT Systems team (3), and ICT Software Development team (1) supporting 500 internal customers; about 200 on-site and the rest on satellite offices.
As the Senior Technical Specialist (ICT Systems Specialist) you will be responsible for the operation and administration of the company’s IT infrastructure including internal networks, servers, email, Cloud services, and network security systems. Provide 3rd line technical support for the company’s servers, Email, Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and network security systems, including the management of hubs, switches, routers, and firewalls.
Key Responsibilities include:
Provide 3rd line technical support for all systems and technologies.
Maintain the company’s infrastructure and networks to enable the organisation to run as smooth as possible.
Provide regular reports to Associate IT Director.
They are primarily Microsoft. The server infrastructure consists of VMware servers running various Windows Server virtual machines. You are correct in assuming an in-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy is required. Server hardware is all Dell. Network hardware is Cisco.
