2nd Line Support Engineer required by a fast growing, £500m turnover construction company with ambitions to double in size in the next 3 years. Based from their newly acquired Thames site, the 2nd Line Support Engineer will help support teams of surveyors, engineers and commercial staff with remote and physical IT issues ranging from new users and passwords through to hardware configuration, cabling and networking. Day to day, the 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will focus on clearing down support tickets as they arise, helping to prioritise and escalate where needed. You’ll troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and software faults, desk-side or remote, ensuring the users feel supported no matter their level. The right 2nd Line IT Support Engineer will have some good experience at this level already and feel ready to ‘hit the ground running’ with hardware and software issues. You’ll have strong Office 365 knowledge, familiar with Active Directory and Windows OS. Cabling, TCP/IP, routers, switches, DHCP and DNS will be important, along with confidence with computing hardware.
You must have a valid UK Driving License as occasional travel may be required to visit other nearby sites should you need to. (full expenses paid)
