1st Line Support Engineer paying up to £21k is required to join a fast paced service desk support team at an expanding professional services company in Esher. The Company have multiple sites across the UK and as the 1st Line Support Engineer you will be providing support for 1,500 end users across 50 office/sites.
As the 1st Line Support Engineer, you’ll be the first person the user engaged with to solve their technical problem. AS such, you will listen and triage the issue before deciding if you can fix it, or escalate it to the 2nd/3rd line team depending on its complexity.
This is a service role, so the successful 1st Line Support Engineer candidate will have an excellent telephone manner and an organised, solution-focused attitude. Basic IT technical experience is a must in order to solve issues over the phone and guide the user towards the fix, however, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop so, attitude is by far the most important qualifier. Ideally, you’ll have knowledge of Windows OS, antivirus, hardware and software, etc. Any deeper knowledge of things like Active Directory, Exchange 2016 and Office365, TCP/IP Networking/Ethernet, Avaya & Mitel, would be a great advantage but certainly not essential.
